Pink girls night

I had my friend over some time ago and I tried off one of my ideas on her nails.
This is my attempt on doing a Chinese cherry tree. The pictures aren't great and if you can't tell there's bench on each ring finger. The pink leaves are supposed to be flying from the tree on the thumb through the other fingers.

For myself I did a simple pink and black cracked mani.

Crackle gradient - or at least a try

A few days ago I made my nails glossy with my nail buffer. Here's how they turned out, very shiny and it's with no polish on ;)
So I hadn't had black nail for a looong time so that's what I put on. As you might be able to guess, it wasn't enough, I had to do something on top of the black.
So I got this idea, a crackle gradient. On my left hand I think the gradient looked nice but there wasn't very much crackle.
On the other hand I thought the crackle went much better but not the gradient. Well, I'll have to do it again some other time to try to make it better.
The lacquers I used are: Rival de Loop - 30 and OPI - Turquoise Shatter.

Opi Turquoise Shatter mixed with an apology

First I want to apologize for not writing a single post in almost two weeks. The reason for this is that I've been on a camp for a week and then I had one day at home and now I'm in Milan. I got internet in the Hotel but at least you get this one post. After I get home on Monday, I'll write some more.
I did this mani last night with  Rimmel - 60 Seconds 605 Purple Reign and topped it with OPI - Turquoise Shatter which is a very very lovely shimmer crack polish. I also used Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat which is absolute amazing :)

I had some fun with my camera :b

New crack polishes

Here the other day I bought two lovely crack polishes from Depend.
I I had to try these out and made a cracked manicure.

Lots of lots of crack polish

I couldn't resist, I had to paint my nails again. It ended up being on top of what I had already.
I found out that it's pretty awesome with crack polish on top of crack polish on top of a colour :)
When you put on more than one crack polish, remember to apply top coat between them or it will just mess up. Another good idea is to pick crack polishes in very different colours, you don't really get the same effect with similar colours 'cuz it will be hard to tell the difference.
I also think it looks nice with crack polish on top of a glitter polish. The crack polish will tone down the BAM!-in-your-face-effect that glitter polish has. An idea could be if you put on a very lovely glitter polish for a party and the next day you can apply crack polish for a more everyday manicure without wasting the lovely glitter manicure.
Depend crack polish - Black on top of Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Blue on top of Barry M - Indigo
I tried with another coat of the blue crack polish but it might be too much.
One thing is sure, when you apply three coats of crack polish you can really see the depth in the polish.
Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Blue on top of Depend crack polish - Black on top of Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Blue on top of Barry M - Indigo
Depend crack polish - Purple on top of Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Blue on top of Depend crack polish - Black(only on half the nail) on top of Models Own - Emerald City
Depend crack polish - Purple on top of Depend crack polish - Black on top of Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Blue on top of Barry M - Berry Ice Cream
Depend crack polish - Purple on top of Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Blue on top of Depend crack polish - Black on top of La Femme Beauty - Ultra Green

I can't really figure out if it's too much with three times crack polish or if it's just for cool enough people :b
What do you think? :)

One thing is sure, the next few days I'm gonna take care of my nails, they really need some strengthening polish. I also really really have to study for my exam on Thursday and it means no more polish until then :(

Testing of my new polishes

Today this Konad mini stamper kit arrived in the mail and I had to try it out with my new polishes.

I couldn't decide which polish to wear first so I made all my nail different and used all polished at the time.

I must admit, I really adore the glitter lacquers especially Disco Mix from Models Own. It's this lovely mix of blue and pink-purple glitter and is the perfect party polish :)

So which nail/polish do you like the best? ;)

Look what arrived in the mail!

Yesterday some of my packages arrived but nobody was home so I went down to the post office to get them today.
Here's what I got
The colours aren't very good in the picture but I'm too lacy to take a good picture right now :b
From left to right: Barry M: Berry Ice Cream, Indigo, Instant Nail Effects Blue, Models Own: Disco Mix, Purple Mystique, Gun Grey, Emerald City, Evergreen.
And I got a free eyeliner with the Models Own polishes.

The colours look very lovely but the Emerald City looked more turquoise green on modelsownit.com where I got it. It's pretty much just green without the turquoise.

I can't wait to try them out! I will let you know when I do :)

Older manicures

I have a couple of pictures of older manicures that I would also like to share.
About three weeks ago I did this manicure:
As you can see I took the photo a couple of days after I made it at it doesn't look that good, but anyway here it is.
I used the following colours in this order to make horizontal stripes:
Pieces - heavy metal
Tiger - colour no. 17
Depend - no. 45
Gosh - 572 Golden bronze
Pieces - Golden chokolate

On top I used Depends crack polish in black. This manicure looked great together with my totally cute giraffe ring and clothes in the style of safari ;)

A little less than a week before I made this manicure. It's the same design as the one you've just seen but with different colours.
For this mani I used the following lacquers to make the stripes in this order:
Gosh - 597 Miss Minty
H&m - Blue (as i recall)
Sally Hansen - 130 Blue Me Away!
Gosh - special edition no. 001 Lavender Love
Rimmel - Lycra Pro no. 312 Ultra Violet
Rimmel - 60 seconds no. 605 Purple Reign

On top I used Depends purple crack polish and finished it off with Gosh - no. 600 Matt Effect Top Coat which is a polish I really adore.

A last mani for now is one I made back in March.
I know it's not pretty around my nails but that's how much I bothered to remove :b
The lacquers used is:
H&m - Pure White
Depend - no. 199, 196 and 54
Rival de Loop - no. 55 (i think, it's a long time ago now :b)
Gosh - 556 Cool Blue

If you have any ideas for what I should do next please write me a comment and I will be happy to make it as good as I can.
